Senior Design Engineer

Our client, an automotive supplier, is seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. As a Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the development or improvement of product designs and engineering capabilities. This person will be managing projects supporting and interacting with customers.
Job Title: Senior Design Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI 48326
Pay Range: $110,000-$135,000 yearly + 10% Bonus
What's the Job?
- Lead and manage the design and development of components and systems from concept to production for OEM customers.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for products including, but not limited to, Hood Latches, Endgate Latches, Power/Manual Actuators, Strikers, Endgate Handles, Window Regulators and Door Modules.
- Timely communications with the customer and engagement of support when needed from PHA HQ engineering and quality teams.
- Function as point of contact for customer design and engineering (flow through accurately and quickly to other departments within PHA as required).
- Hybrid work schedule (Mondays & Fridays remote but can be flexible)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, business, or related field.
- Ability to travel to customer, supplier, or manufacturing sites.
- Someone with project management experience
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers.
- CATIA experience
- MUST have worked for a latch supplier
- MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER
