Portfolio Manager - Fund Finance

My client is a leading alternative investment firm with a strong track record across private equity, credit, and other strategies. They are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join their Fund Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex financing structures, collaborate with top-tier professionals, and contribute to the growth of a dynamic platform.
Position Overview

The Portfolio Manager will oversee fund finance activities, including subscription facilities, NAV financing, and hybrid structures. This individual will play a critical role in managing liquidity, optimizing financing strategies, and ensuring compliance across multiple funds.
Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Manage and monitor fund finance facilities, including subscription lines, NAV loans, and hybrid facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with covenants, reporting requirements, and drawdown processes.
    • Oversee liquidity planning and optimize financing strategies for funds.
  • Fund Finance Operations:
    • Coordinate capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting in collaboration with fund accounting teams.
    • Review and approve financing documentation, amendments, and renewals.
    • Maintain accurate records of facility utilization and repayment schedules.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for lenders, legal counsel, and internal teams.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with financing counterparties to achieve optimal outcomes.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on financing activities and portfolio performance.
  • Risk & Compliance:
    • Monitor credit risk and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Support audits and due diligence processes related to fund financing.
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance financing structures and reduce costs.
    • Contribute to new fund launches by advising on financing strategies and operational setup.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in fund finance, private equity, credit funds, or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of subscription facilities, NAV financing, and fund structures.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and understanding of loan documentation.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with fund administrators and legal counsel.
  • Familiarity with alternative investment strategies and fund operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
