Job Summary:

Senior Manufacturing Technicians play a critical role in designing, developing, and producing high-quality electronic and software systems that meet stringent medical device requirements and specifications. Working closely with the Manufacturing Engineering team, they assist in resolving issues that arise before or during production to ensure seamless operations.

In this role, Senior Manufacturing Technicians may provide guidance and work direction to device assemblers, ensuring that customer needs and values are met through the delivery of exceptional products and services. They also support troubleshooting and rework of printed circuit boards, identify resource needs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Senior Manufacturing Technicians are capable of performing all tasks required to manufacture and test electro-mechanical, software-based devices in accordance with product specifications and may rotate through various responsibilities within the team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and rework of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with production teams, group leads, engineers, and management to address nonconforming materials and line issues.
  • Drive and implement high-impact scrap reduction, yield improvement, and other continuous improvement projects across operations.
  • Analyze recurring issues and implement preventive actions to ensure long-term solutions.
  • Develop and write equipment Installation Qualification protocols.
  • Support production continuity through training, fixture/equipment repair, and Non-Conformance coordination.
  • Assist with new product builds and update processes/equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and procedures.
  • Train and mentor other technicians to build team capability.
  • Work extensively with surface mount and through-hole printed circuit boards.
  • Manage parts and inventory ordering, control, and tracking.
  • Design and procure assembly and test fixtures to support daily manufacturing operations.
  • Perform installation, qualification, preventive maintenance, and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop, review, and maintain PCB and mechanical assembly documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electronics design, assembly, or testing.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical design principles.
  • SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic test and measurement equipment and/or soldering electronic components.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams toward common goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Subject to mandatory overtime requirements based on business demands

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The salary range for this position is outlined below under "Job Details" and is dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable employment laws. Beyond base salary, Forj offers a competitive Total Rewards Package. We offer health, dental, vision, 401K plans, and time off programs. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program which depends on various factors, including, individual and organizational performance.
