We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for a 12+ month contract opportunity with our Randstad client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth expertise in Cyber Technologies and Enterprise Security tools, with a specific focus on Microsoft 365 and related security solutions. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing the organization's cybersecurity posture and ensuring robust protection for its digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft 365 Expertise: Profound knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Defender for Endpoint, Azure Active Directory, Intune, and related products.
- Endpoint Security Essentials: Understanding the fundamentals of endpoint security, covering aspects like antivirus, Attack Surface Reduction (ASR), device tagging, and other features associated with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).
- Troubleshooting Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to Defender for Endpoint configurations, ensuring seamless protection.
- Onboarding Competence: Familiarity with various onboarding processes for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, involving SCCM, Intune, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and similar methods.
- Integration Awareness: Understanding the integration points between MDE, Intune, and Defender for Cloud Apps to ensure cohesive security solutions.
- Scripting and Automation: Experience in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell and Kusto Query Language (KQL) to streamline cybersecurity operations.
- Monitoring and Analytics: Proficiency in monitoring and analytics tools for proactive threat detection and response.
- Certifications: Possession of one of the recognized cybersecurity certifications or cloud security certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CEH, or AWS/Azure certifications.
