About the Role:

As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform x-rays of designated areas of the human body for diagnostic purposes, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the imaging department with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure their understanding and comfort.
  • Transport patients safely and verify their identity in accordance with policies.
  • Assist technologists with preparing patients and managing patient records.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards to prevent unnecessary exposure.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within your scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any concerning activities.
  • Ensure all images and documents are submitted to PACS with accuracy.
  • Check that equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the department.
  • Perform limited CT procedures in emergencies when needed.
  • Work consistently in a safe manner.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
  • No prior experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of patients and objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of heavier objects (25-50 lbs).
  • Good hearing, vision, and communication skills are essential.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ARRT-R Radiography certification.
  • State-specific Radiologic Technologist license when applicable.
