As an Inventory Management Specialist at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our inventory operations, both in-store and in the pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing, monitoring, and training team members on inventory best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Supporting pharmacy inventory management activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and processing returns smoothly.
  • Ensuring on-shelf availability by managing all in-store inventory processes, including receiving, counting, pricing, and returns.
  • Validating planogram accuracy and maintaining front-end inventory through detailed reports and system applications.
  • Implementing asset protection techniques and handling claims related to order discrepancies, damaged goods, and other inventory issues.
  • Engaging customers with a warm greeting and assisting them with products and services, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Coaching team members on vendor inventory management processes and ensuring efficient order creation and receipt.
  • Conducting quality checks and audits on pharmacy inventory, verifying shipments, and resolving discrepancies with vendors.
  • Managing pricing activities including adjustments, markdowns, and compliance with regulatory pricing tasks.
  • Overseeing inventory records, maintaining accurate counts of products, and ensuring compliance with state and local laws for regulated items.
  • Preparing for physical inventory day by organizing products and ensuring readiness of sales floors and stockrooms.
  • Assisting with package delivery activities, including scanning and inventory functions.
  • Modeling excellent customer service practices and supporting the development of fellow team members.

Your attention to detail, ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills will be essential in identifying and resolving operational issues promptly. Candidates should have previous retail experience, preferably as a shift lead or pharmacy technician, and must possess a valid pharmacy license/certification if applicable.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $17 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $20 per hour.
