Fire Protection Operations Manager

In this role, you will guide daily operations, support project teams, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. Your leadership will play a key role in strengthening our fire protection services and supporting our long-term growth.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee daily department operations, including inspection and repair activities, ride-along quality checks, and workflow optimization to keep schedules and budgets on track.
- Lead and mentor project managers, technicians, and field staff through performance evaluations, training, and career development while promoting a collaborative, safety-focused culture.
- Partner with project managers to review scopes, schedules, and budgets, providing technical guidance on fire protection systems to ensure smooth, successful project delivery.
- Act as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and strong professional relationships.
- Manage departmental budgets, review monthly financials, evaluate inspection contract margins, and negotiate vendor agreements to support profitability and efficiency.
- Ensure operations meet all industry standards, local regulations, and safety protocols by overseeing training and enforcing company safety practices.
- Proven leadership experience guiding teams, developing talent, and fostering a positive, safety-focused work environment.
- Extensive experience with fire protection systems, including design, installation, inspections, and maintenance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in construction management, mechanical systems, or related fields is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as NICET III in Fire Alarms, NICET II in Special Hazards, or NICET III in Inspections & Testing of Water-Based Systems (preferred).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
- Willingness to complete and pass all required state-specific exams after hire.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
