Director of Clinical Services - Hospice

Step into full clinical leadership with a mission-driven hospice serving patients across Will, DuPage, Kane, and Kendall counties - including Naperville, Frankfort, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Yorkville, and Joliet.
  • Pay: $95,000-$105,000 base + mileage reimbursement + benefits
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday • Onsite
Lead hospice clinical operations as the Director of Clinical Services (RN) - guiding a compassionate care team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining excellence across end-of-life services. You'll collaborate with the Executive Director to uphold quality, support staff development, and deliver patient-centered care that truly makes a difference.

What you'll do
  • Oversee daily hospice nursing, aide, and clinical operations
  • Review referrals and clinical eligibility for hospice admission
  • Mentor field staff and ensure consistent, compassionate care delivery
  • Lead CHAP readiness and survey participation (full leadership a plus)
  • Maintain compliance with CHAP, Medicare CoPs, and IDPH standards
  • Direct QAPI and IDG meetings to drive quality outcomes
  • Manage staff orientation, training, and performance development
  • Provide occasional field support to stay connected with care delivery
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on goals, metrics, and patient outcomes
Must-haves
  • Active Illinois RN license
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • 2+ years hospice or skilled home-health experience
  • 1+ year leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of CHAP, Medicare CoPs, and IDPH regulations
  • Direct experience supporting CHAP survey participation (leading is a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate, steady leadership style that inspires excellence
  • Comfortable providing field supervision and occasional patient visits
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed
