Verovian Healthcare Recruitment Agency is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Labor & Delivery to join a reputable healthcare facility in Torrance, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during all phases of childbirth, including antepartum, intrapartum, delivery, and postpartum care.
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise in intrapartum monitoring, antepartum assessments, operating room (OR) procedures, and postpartum recovery, while demonstrating a deep commitment to patient safety and advocacy. You will play a central role in ensuring that expectant mothers receive the highest level of care and emotional support, guiding them and their families through the childbirth journey with compassion, professionalism, and excellence.
Working within a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will partner with physicians, anesthesiologists, midwives, pediatricians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. This position requires not only advanced clinical judgment and strong decision-making skills but also the ability to provide education, reassurance, and guidance to families during one of the most meaningful and life-changing experiences they will ever encounter.

- Provide comprehensive nursing care during the labor and delivery process, including monitoring maternal and fetal well-being.
- Administer medications and assist with labor-inducing procedures and emergency interventions.
- Support patients and families with emotional and educational resources throughout the childbirth experience.
- Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other care providers to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centred care.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory guidelines.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition using critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Assist in OR during cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures as needed.
