Title: Software Development Engineer II
Location: 100% Onsite in New York, NY
Duration: 12-month contract (additional extensions/conversion to FTE possible)
Compensation: $55/hr - $65/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:

Job Description: We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with seller eligibility. Your solutions will impact our customers directly Primary responsibilities include developing and monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging, implementing fixes for internally developed code (Scala, JAVA), and performing SQL querying. Additional responsibilities include improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.

General Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications. They must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.

Must-Have Requirements:
  • BS or higher in Computer Science
  • 1-2+ years of experience in software development, with strong experience developing in an enterprise environment
  • Strong experience in Java and Scala
  • Strong expertise in SQL - ability to write, amend, and analyze complex queries
  • Experience setting up CICD infrastructure and automated deployments
  • Strong AWS experience - S3, SQS/SNS, RDS, EC2
  • Proven ability to solve ambiguous, complex technical problems; ability to drive tasks through to completion self-sufficiently
