Travel Radiologic Technologist - Interventional
Location: Syracuse, NY
Start Date: 10/6/2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8hr shifts (40 hrs/week)
Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Rotational, as needed
Overtime: Possible based on departmental needs

Role Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist - Interventional performs radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. Responsibilities include greeting and preparing patients, explaining procedures, positioning patients, setting proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality images, and practicing radiation safety to minimize patient exposure. Technologists operate imaging equipment efficiently, report malfunctions to supervisors, and ensure proper documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and records. Adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and protocols is required.

Qualifications:

  • AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

  • NYS Radiologic Technologist license or eligible

  • ARRT certification (must obtain within one year of appointment)

  • Registration certification for Contrast Injection required

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive technical experience

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to provide high-quality interventional radiology imaging

  • Knowledge of radiology equipment operation and maintenance

  • Strong patient communication and safety awareness
