Location: Staten Island, NY

A well-established Italian restaurant in Staten Island, NY is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead all aspects of operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, and the ability to drive operational excellence across front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food, service, and cleanliness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, servers, hosts, and support staff to achieve operational and service goals.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor costs while optimizing efficiency.
  • Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction through proactive engagement and resolution of concerns.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage cost controls to maintain profitability.
  • Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Drive marketing, promotions, and community engagement initiatives to grow the restaurant's presence.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to sales, labor, and operations to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in Italian or upscale casual dining.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving operational and financial goals.
  • Knowledge of restaurant management software, POS systems, and budgeting practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
