A well-established Italian restaurant in Staten Island, NY is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead all aspects of operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, and the ability to drive operational excellence across front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food, service, and cleanliness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, servers, hosts, and support staff to achieve operational and service goals.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor costs while optimizing efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction through proactive engagement and resolution of concerns.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage cost controls to maintain profitability.
- Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Drive marketing, promotions, and community engagement initiatives to grow the restaurant's presence.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to sales, labor, and operations to support strategic decision-making.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in Italian or upscale casual dining.
