Job Overview
The Remote Robotic Systems Technician plays a vital role in the EverClean Field Service Team. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of remote robotic hull cleaning systems globally.
In this dual role, you will pilot remote-controlled robotic systems from shore-based control centers while also performing hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of the robotic units in the field.
What You Will Do
- Operate remote-controlled robotic systems for underwater cleaning and inspections.
- Conduct technical maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of robotic systems and supporting equipment.
- Carry out thorough pre- and post-mission checks, including mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and operational procedures for high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain awareness of vehicle performance and environmental conditions during missions.
- Accurately record mission activities and maintenance logs for analysis.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure safe and efficient service execution.
- Engage in mission planning, monitoring, and reviews to elevate operational efficacy.
- Other related duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical aptitude with experience in computers, software, and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues effectively in field settings.
- Self-motivated with the ability to focus during extended operations.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and work flexible hours.
- Experience in field operations, logistics, inspections, or remote equipment handling is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with robotics, electro-mechanical systems, or related maintenance is a plus.
- Experience with drones, simulators, or similar systems is advantageous.
- A genuine interest in robotics or marine applications.
- Availability to work weekends, and occasional overnight or holiday shifts.
