Data Analytics Developer

The Data Analytics Developer is responsible for developing analytical data structures, data visualization, and reporting capabilities using MS Power Platform. This role involves close collaboration with IT senior management and key business stakeholders to transform complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the MS Power platforms and tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) as needed. Maintain the organization's reporting platform inventory, including publishing solutions to Power BI workspaces, assigning security roles, and packaging solutions in Power BI apps for distribution to targeted business users.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reports based on technical requirements, including building Power BI models and queries.
- Gain an understanding of the business to design and develop accurate and reliable solutions.
- Assist in designing and implementing data quality improvement processes and initiatives. Develop SQL scripts and queries for ad hoc data analysis.
- Create processes to ingest, merge, and transform data from various systems into MS Fabric/One Lake using the MS Azure toolset, and develop data models for Power BI consumption.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for analytics solutions, from inception to design, development, testing, and delivery.
- Evaluate new analytics technologies and platforms, staying current on industry best practices, particularly those related to MS Azure Power Platform, Data Lake/Fabric, Open AI, and Co-pilots.
- Assist in implementing data-centric system integrations between critical business applications.
- Document systems and processes as required.
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics development using MS Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps), with advanced skills in Data Visualization, including parameterized reports and DAX scripts for calculated tables/columns in Power BI.
- A minimum of 3 years of development experience with T-SQL and MS BI Tools (Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS).
- Experience creating and maintaining SSAS tabular models and extracting data from tabular models using MDX queries.
- Familiarity with MS Power Automate, Logic Apps, and Azure storage functions is preferred.
- Experience following SDLC (design, development, testing methods, code version control, MS Visual Studio/GitHub, deployment, and code maintenance).
- Experience with other enterprise-class ETL tools (e.g., BizTalk, Boomi) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; professional certifications are a plus.

- Strong interpersonal skills to work productively as part of the Information Systems team, delivering high-quality services to the organization and its clients.
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively complete both operational and project-based assignments.
- Strong communication skills, both in-person and in writing, with personnel at all levels and external parties as necessary.
- Ability to work independently.
The anticipated Salary range for this role is $145-$155,000 based on the skillset and experience of the successful hire.
