Software Engineer - Data Engineering III
Primary Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Software Engineer - Data Engineering III for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Education and Experience "
  • Proven experience with large-scale database migrations (10K+ customers, multiple LOBs).
  • Strong understanding of Payments and Treasury Management products.
  • Expertise in ETL processes, SQL, and Python for automation.
  • Familiarity with Cloud data services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of data quality, reconciliation, and compliance best practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities "
Must Have:
  • Business Intelligence - Data Engineering.
  • DB and SQL knowledge.
  • Enterprise Applications.
  • Previous large scale migration experience.

Nice To Have:
  • Experience with Java and WebSphere Application Server (WAS 9).
  • Knowledge of data modeling and automation frameworks.
  • Python or some ETL language skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Build and optimize ETL pipelines and Python automation scripts for data processing and reconciliation.
  • Design and implement data migration strategies from DB2 to Cloud.
  • Define and execute migration phases, checkpoints, and quality controls.
  • Collaborate with DBAs, architects, application teams, and business stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
