Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Subject Matter Expert (SME ) with deep expertise in compliance systems and processes within the Asset Management industry. Candidates should have a strong understanding of compliance frameworks and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Key Focus Areas:
• Code of Ethics systems and workflows
• Financial Crimes / AML / KYC processes
• Regulatory Reporting (SEC, Client, etc.)
• Control Room Operations
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance teams, and technology partners to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Act as a liaison between Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure accurate implementation of compliance workflows and systems
• Support system design, data flow mapping, and control implementations across compliance functions
• Provide SME -level insight into compliance requirements within asset management, particularly across alternative investments
• Assist with UAT, testing strategies, and post-implementation validation
• Ensure alignment of compliance processes with evolving regulatory standards
Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or SME within compliance in the financial services or asset management industry
• Proven expertise in one or more areas: Code of Ethics, KYC/AML, Regulatory Reporting, Control Room operations
• Experience working in Alternative Investments, Hedge Funds, or Private Equity (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of compliance systems and ability to work with technology teams on system enhancements
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
