Job Summary
The Health Insurance Implementation Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing all steps required to successfully implement new health insurance groups, plans, and client configurations. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams, brokers, and clients to ensure accurate setup, seamless onboarding, and timely delivery of all implementation tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and excels in communication and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute all steps required to successfully implement new health insurance groups, plans, and client configurations.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams, brokers, and clients to ensure accurate setup.
- Facilitate seamless onboarding and timely delivery of all implementation tasks.
- 1-3 years of experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of medical and pharmacy benefit structures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Preferred: Familiarity with TPA, PBM, and network arrangements, experience with Jira, Zendesk, or other project management tools.
- Organizational Skills - Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
- Problem-Solving - Identifies issues quickly and partners with others to resolve them.
- Customer Service Excellence - Builds trust with brokers, clients, and internal teams.

- Adaptability - Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
- Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)).
- 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
