Our client, an international bank, is seeking a Bilingual Jr. BSA/AML Compliance Analyst to join their team. As a Bilingual BSA/AML Compliance Analyst, you will be part of the Compliance Department supporting the Sanctions Screening Team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a sense of responsibility which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Bilingual Jr BSA/AML Compliance Analyst
Location: New York, New York 10169 (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
*** First month will be onsite 5 days
Pay Range: $35-$40/hr (W2, Contract-to-hire)
What's the Job?
-
Conduct sanctions screening and investigate potential matches against global sanctions regulations.
-
Supervise junior staff and escalate issues to senior management as necessary.
-
Collaborate in system testing to assess the functionality and effectiveness of the OFAC system.
-
Document decision rationale and follow operational procedures on sanctions alert handling.
-
Provide timely advice and guidance to business units regarding OFAC concerns.
What's Needed?
-
Previous experience in sanctions screening.
-
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
-
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-
OFAC Certification or ACAMS Certification required.
-
A working knowledge of correspondent banking and fluency in Spanish are required. Understanding the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) is a significant plus.
