About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining and streamlining our financial operations. Your focus will be on accurate data entry, processing invoices and receipts, updating account records, supporting AP/AR activities, and organizing financial documents. Working closely with the Finance team, you'll ensure our accounting system remains clean, efficient, and compliant, helping to support the company's growth and operational success.

Pay Rate: $18-21 per hour

Available Shift Times: Flexible, within standard office hours. Open to some flexibility of schedule to fit the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter invoices, receipts, and payment data into QuickBooks Online
  • Process expense reports and supporting documentation
  • Update and maintain vendor and customer records
  • Review and clean up historical financial data; identify duplicate entries or discrepancies
  • Scan, file, and organize financial documents electronically and physically
  • Support AP/AR functions and assist other administrative tasks as needed
  • Help ensure data accuracy and system integrity


Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably utilizing QuickBooks Online
  • Strong proficiency in Excel with the ability to manage data effectively
  • Attention to detail and high organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation or access to on bus line (public transit)
Nice to Have Skills
  • Prior experience with data cleanup projects
  • Knowledge of additional accounting software or systems
  • Experience working in a small office setting
Preferred Education & Experience
  • Prior accounts payable experience
  • QuickBooks Online proficiency is essential
  • Strong Excel skills
Other Requirements
  • Clean background check and successful ISS interview
  • Resume submission required prior to interview
  • Background check to be initiated upon conditional offer
  • No PPE requirements
  • Support duration: 3-5 weeks, with potential to extend or convert to permanent based on performance and fit
