Journeyman Structural Welder within the Shipyard (4 openings)

1st shift + OT

$25-$40

Job Description

  • We are looking for a skilled journeyman welder with advanced knowledge of various welding techniques, including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and brazing. The ideal candidate should be capable of determining proper weld joint design without supervision and performing Non-Destructive Testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced welding techniques such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and brazing.

  • Determine proper weld joint design independently.

  • Conduct Non-Destructive Testing.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and AWS Welding Symbols.

  • Complete other related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a Journeyman Welder, with preference for 5 years.

  • Previous shipyard or Navy welding experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.03 - $47.50/hr.
