Job Description:
The Quality BIM Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting quality assurance processes through model accuracy, coordination reviews, and design compliance. This position ensures that construction documents meet company standards, industry regulations, and client expectations. The ideal candidate has technical BIM expertise, a sharp eye for detail, and experience working in cross-functional environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance checks on BIM models for architecture, structural, and MEP disciplines
- Identify and resolve clashes using Navisworks and coordinate with project stakeholders
- Maintain model version control and documentation logs
- Support creation of quality control documentation for preconstruction and site teams
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to improve design accuracy and reduce rework
- 2+ years in a BIM coordination or quality control role within AEC industry
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Technology, Engineering, or related field required
- Identify and resolve 95% of model clashes prior to construction
- Deliver coordinated BIM files to teams ahead of project milestones
- Maintain accurate model documentation and revision history with 100% compliance
- Support reduction in field conflicts by ensuring design clarity
