Your Impact

Join Teradata's Product Engineering leadership team in a key role where you will spearhead the infrastructure and automation strategies for our innovative cloud analytics and AI platform. Your leadership will ensure our platform's reliability, scalability, and performance in hybrid cloud settings, aiding Teradata in delivering trustworthy and robust solutions. By harnessing agentic AI, you will revolutionize CI/CD pipelines, automate tests, and streamline release processes, driving significant efficiency and innovation.

  • Shape the strategic vision for infrastructure and automation, architecting and delivering secure and efficient service solutions that support Teradata's VantageCloud.

  • Enhance our infrastructure to support scalable, secure, and high-performance deployments for AI and analytics workloads.

  • Utilize agentic AI to optimize CI/CD pipelines, accelerating development cycles through automated build, testing, and deployment procedures.

  • Design leading-edge AI-driven test automation frameworks to bolster the reliability and performance of Teradata’s platform.

  • Accelerate release processes utilizing agentic AI to reduce errors and streamline delivery on both multi-cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Integrate mechanisms to optimize cloud costs and usage, implementing AI to predict resource needs and manage expenditure intelligently.

  • Work with modern data tools such as Iceberg, Delta, Trino, Spark, Kafka, and Pulsar for optimal infrastructure integration.

  • Champion strategies for observability, monitoring, and high resilience in infrastructure using technologies like Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.

  • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Ansible for efficient management and provisioning of cloud resources.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to cultivate best practices in test automation, release management, and systems scalability.

  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met in our infrastructure and release management processes.

Collaboration and Influence

  • You will report directly to the SVP of Product Engineering and actively partner across the Teradata ecosystem.

  • Work with engineering, data science, and AI teams to align infrastructure strategies with our cutting-edge analytics capabilities.

  • Collaborate with the CTO's office to synchronize our infrastructure roadmap with Teradata's tech innovation initiatives.

  • Engage closely with Security Engineering to meet enterprise security requirements in our infrastructure and deployment processes.

  • Connect with product management teams to discern customer needs and refine infrastructure solutions that boost our AI offerings.

Your Qualifications

  • 15+ years in enterprise architecture or large-scale analytics system development.

  • Proven experience scaling AI and ML applications in enterprise settings.

  • Strong background in hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures and secure integrations with major cloud providers.

  • In-depth knowledge of agentic AI, orchestration frameworks, and generative AI technologies.

  • Success in developing production-grade AI/ML pipelines with strong governance.

  • Familiarity with open data formats, modern query engines, and real-time streaming technologies.

  • Experience migrating traditional architectures to microservices using Kubernetes.

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred.

Pay Rate: $217,300 - $325,900 Annually

Your starting pay will be based on your geographic location, internal equity, job-relevant skills, and experience. Non-sales positions may receive annual incentive pay based on performance and organization results. Employees are eligible for various benefits, including healthcare, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and generous time-off programs.
