Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Abbott Park, IL

Shift: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What's the Job?

  • Manage daily routine preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities

  • Respond to alarm or trouble calls and maintain a strong floor presence

  • Troubleshoot causes of malfunctions and participate in corrective actions

  • Assist outside repair personnel and maintain accurate work records

  • Keep inventory of spare parts and materials needed for repairs

What's Needed?

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends

  • Basic knowledge of equipment setup and operation in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in repairing mechanical and electrical systems

  • Experience with troubleshooting high-speed production equipment

  • Strong record-keeping and inventory management skills
