About the Role

Are you passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of children and families? We are seeking an experienced Child Psychiatrist to join our dynamic outpatient behavioral health team. As Medical Director, you will provide clinical oversight, mentorship, and guidance to a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering trauma-informed, family-centered care. Most responsibilities can be performed virtually, with occasional in-person engagement for monthly staff meetings and limited direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Center for Healthy Families, an outpatient clinic serving children and families.

• Review and approve treatment plans and intake documentation.

• Offer teaching and clinical supervision to staff and trainees.

• Participate in monthly staff meetings and collaborate on program development.

• Deliver limited direct patient care as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Board Certification in Child Psychiatry (Double board certification in Child & Adult Psychiatry is a plus).

• Active Connecticut medical license.

• Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings.

• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Ability to provide constructive feedback and foster a positive team culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Medical Director or in a leadership role.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care, family systems, and Joint Commission standards.

• Comfort with virtual platforms and telehealth delivery.

• Commitment to ethical standards and quality care.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Flexible schedule between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with most work performed remotely.

• Monthly in-person staff meetings at the Center for Healthy Families, located at 555 Windsor Street, 1st Floor, Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $104000.00 - $208000.00/yr.
