What You'll Do
- Perform high-quality MRI procedures (including routine and advanced imaging) according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET principles to ensure comfort, safety, and understanding throughout the procedure.
- Prepare and position patients accurately, adjust equipment controls, and follow all safety and infection-control standards.
- Maintain MRI equipment and work area cleanliness; assist engineers and physicists in maintaining optimal performance.
- Ensure MRI safety by screening all patients and visitors according to approved policies.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, nursing staff, and imaging team members to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records for interpretation.

- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certification/Licensure:
- Certified by one of the following:
- ARRT (MR) - Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or
- ARRT (R) - Radiography, or
- ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
- Must hold a current Texas Medical Board (TMB) License as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
- Certified by one of the following:
- Experience: Less than one year required; one year of MRI experience preferred
- BLS Certification required
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
