Join Our Team as a Fabricator II

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multiple pieces of fabrication or laser cutting equipment, working from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create high-quality metal parts from various metal stocks.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Selecting appropriate dies, tools, and punches for material thickness.
  • Choosing the correct CNC program for laser cutting.
  • Forming materials according to specifications using various radius dies.
  • Installing and aligning a variety of punches and dies for different operations.
  • Monitoring equipment and tooling conditions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment.
  • Performing first piece inspection and ongoing quality checks.
  • Making necessary adjustments to equipment for safety and efficiency.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
  • Assisting and training team members in fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Documenting production and quality assurance activities.

We Are Seeking Candidates Who:

  • Can effectively read and interpret complex drawings and bills of material.
  • Have experience safely operating machinery like press brakes and punch presses.
  • Are comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Hold a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Can understand and follow both verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ideally have 3 or more years of experience in metal fabrication within a manufacturing context.

Physical Demands of the Role:

  • Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level as classified by the US Dept of Labor.
  • Lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance, and up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Continuous standing and walking, with required bending, squatting, and lifting.
  • Involves gripping, manipulation, and the use of various hand/power tools.
