Purchasing and Warehousing Manager

Expanse Electrical Company has an immediate opening for a Purchasing and Warehousing Manager. The Manager is responsible for a wide variety of procurement and warehouse activities including purchasing, shipping, delivering and receiving of raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records. The manager will focus on both the transactional needs to have full compliance with Expanse processes and procedures, as well as the analysis, reporting, and vendor relationship and management needs.
Key Outcomes:
- Minimize Inventory on hand while ensuring operations has required materials
- Reduce OS&D stock
- Reduce Inventory shrinkage
- Lower procurement cost
- Correct material pricing of the inventory
- Process Compliance
- Set up the pace, expectations, and cadence of the Warehousing and Procurement processes, this includes deep understanding of the inventory transactions, warehouse operations, and purchasing processes in Expanse Electrical.
- Manage the day-to-day warehouse and procurement operations, ensuring unwavering compliance with processes, training and development of staff, and standardization of transactional inputs in the ERP system
- Oversee purchasing strategy, analyze vendor agreements and pricing, present executive reports on regular basis for material transactions, pricing, and volume purchasing strategies
- Manage the cycle counts as well as annual inventory process for Expanse Electrical
- Create and implement operational policies and procedures to include inventory tracking systems and purchasing guidelines to optimize procurement and inventory control procedures.
- Evaluates deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
- Monitor and track inventory levels and reconcile inventory variances using all available resources to identify root causes and supply solutions.
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
- Work with Corporate team along with management on resolving any issues.
- Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationship
- Coordinate material forecast with suppliers to ensure supplier stock efficient for demand
- Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to Company policies and work requirements.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook and Lead Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs and ensure process and procedures are followed.
- 5+ years of warehouse and inventory management experience
- Excellent understanding of inventory and warehouse management procedures.
- Ability to operate forklift effectively.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Willing to submit to pre-employment, random and for-cause drug testing.
- Ability to effectively and regularly converse and comprehend in English
