As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will play a pivotal role in the construction and renovation of upscale residential properties, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and adherence to the highest safety standards. Responsibilities: Read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements for high-end residential projects. Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, with a focus on luxury finishes and details. Operate power and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks. Measure, cut, shape, and join materials using various tools and techniques, ensuring precision and quality. Collaborate with architects, designers, subcontractors, and site supervisors to ensure project milestones are met and client expectations are exceeded. Adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Supervise and mentor apprentice carpenters and other team members as required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Contribute to accurate and timely project documentation, including progress reports and material inventory. Qualifications: Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury or high-end residential carpentry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations. Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools related to carpentry. Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional demeanor suitable for high-end clientele.
