Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager with a focus on commercial site design. This role involves leading project teams through planning, design, permitting, and execution of site development projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and management of commercial site development projects, including site layout, grading, utility coordination, and permitting
  • Manage projects from initial planning through construction documents and regulatory approvals
  • Oversee and mentor internal design teams, delegating tasks and ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, architects, consultants, and municipal agencies
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet deadlines and client expectations
  • Prepare and review commercial site plans, technical reports, and permit applications
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with clients, public officials, and regulatory agencies
  • Identify and resolve project risks and challenges proactively
  • Support business development efforts through proposal preparation and client engagement
  • Promote collaboration and effective communication within project teams and firm leadership
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in design, including commercial projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with Ajera or other project management software (preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Nashville, TN
