MUST READ LPN - INPATIENT UNIT
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to follow the plan of care as directed by the RN
  • Communicate accurately and timely with patients, team members, and management
  • Apply critical thinking and consider alternatives in patient care delivery
  • Develop and maintain human care relationships; integrate the influence of health, illness, and healing
  • Manage self and resources effectively
  • Apply leadership skills appropriately
  • Incorporate teaching in care delivery; demonstrate competence in health promotion
  • Apply knowledge integration skills for patient populations served within the Inpatient Care Unit
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
  • Number of beds: 25
  • Holiday coverage required: Travelers must work two of the following:
    • Thanksgiving and Friday/weekend after
    • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and Friday/weekend after
    • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and Friday/weekend after

  • Note: Extensions requested to end in November or before December holidays will not be considered for early 2026 extensions

  • Submission requirements:
    • 1+ years of current inpatient experience required
    • Must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong critical thinking skills
    • Experience with electronic medical record systems
    • Small critical access facility experience preferred
    • Must have own vehicle and permanent address included in profile
    • All RTO must be included in profile
    • All scheduling requests must be made at submission; post-offer requests may result in rescinded offer

    • 1 supervisory signed reference from the past 2 years

  • On-call: As needed
  • Weekend: Every other weekend/holiday coverage as required
