Job Summary

As the Associate Director of Commercial Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting commercial initiatives for pharmaceutical clients. Your expertise will help shape strategic solutions by leveraging a diverse range of industry-specific datasets. This role involves leading and managing projects, conducting thorough data analyses, and transforming insights into actionable recommendations. A hands-on approach to pharmaceutical data combined with robust program management skills is essential for addressing key client business challenges and offering strategic guidance.

You will collaborate closely with the enterprise data office, Strategic Insights & Analytics, IT, and global teams to drive success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the biopharma or healthcare sectors, exhibiting a proven ability to develop data strategies, manage data acquisition, oversee vendor relationships, and create impactful insights that bolster TA/brand strategies.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize pharmaceutical patient claims/APLD data, including IQVIA LAAD, SYMPHONY, Komodo, MMIT, and payer data, along with HCP and account-level data.
  • Apply in-depth experience with patient-level data to generate insights into patient coverage and journeys across various therapeutic areas.
  • Possess a solid understanding of data architecture and data access procedures.
  • Effectively synthesize and communicate results to both clients and internal teams through engaging oral and written presentations.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders in pharmaceutical commercial insights, analytics, and data teams.
  • Oversee vendor contracts related to data acquisition while ensuring high standards of data quality from external sources.
  • Support data and analytics teams in generating insights and addressing key business questions.
  • Deeply understand client business challenges, operational rules, data architecture, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide regular project status updates to both clients and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree required in any discipline, with a strong academic track record.
  • 8+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical Commercial Analytics, Data Strategy, or Data Management.
  • Cultivate strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with Data and Analytics teams.
  • Exemplify strong teamwork ability and effectively manage conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to comprehend and influence decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
