Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT and X-ray experience, ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certification for an acute care radiology setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital in the Radiology - CT/X-ray unit
• Department is equipped with 2 CT scanners (64-slice Philips and 16-slice GE) and 2 Philips X-ray rooms
• Typical caseload is around 20-30 CT and X-ray scans per day
• Patient population includes adults in a Level 3 trauma setting
• Procedures include routine X-rays and CT scans; IV starts required
• EMR used is MEDHOST - Enterprise; PACS system is Synapse; department also utilizes Meditech
• Shift schedule alternates between days and mid shifts across 12-hour shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and rotating call requirements
• Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis with core staff
• Floating may be required between College Station and Bryan campuses, 16 minutes apart, as needed
• First to float between College Station and Bryan campuses as needed
• Candidates may not have been directly employed in the past year by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility; PRN through outside firms considered
• May be asked to precept other technologists as needed by the unit
• Scrub color is black; scrubs are not provided
• Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CT and X-ray in a hospital setting
• Active ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active state licensure required for consideration; pending licenses not accepted; license required if applicable
• Experience with Philips and GE CT/X-ray equipment is preferred
• Ability to start IVs required
• Must provide two references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one supervisor or peer from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
