Are you seeking a rewarding position that makes a difference in people's lives? If so, Catholic Charities has an immediate part-time Catering Delivery Driver opening at our Catholic Multicultural Center located in Madison. Our Catering Delivery Driver transports food deliveries for school lunches daily. The Catering Delivery Driver will also assist with various kitchen tasks after making their deliveries.

Starting pay rate: $16/hour

Hours of work: Mondays through Fridays, 9:00am - 1:00pm

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and securely load food transport equipment onto the catering delivery vans.

2. Deliver food to schools while following all traffic safety rules.

3. Unload equipment and deliver to the agreed upon location at each site.

4. Communicate with site staff any necessary information regarding the food delivery.

5. Return the delivery van to the kitchen site and unload any empty/extra equipment and return to the kitchen.

6. Clean van as needed of any spilled food or miscellaneous trash.

7. After deliveries, assist with assigned kitchen tasks, which may include:

a. Dishwashing

b. Cleaning: wiping counters and carts, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and other assigned cleaning tasks

c. Food preparation assistance: help with any assigned cold or hot food preparation as needed.

8. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism when working with volunteers, staff and clients.

9. Perform any other assigned tasks given by the Kitchen Manager.

Qualifications:
  • 21 years of age or older, High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record are required.
  • Must be able to work 9:00am - 1:00pm, M - F
  • Must hold a valid WI driver's license and pass a driver background check.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently required. Ability to work with volunteers and clients from various backgrounds and age groups.
  • Physically able to lift up to 25 pounds and tolerate medium to high physical effort including walking, standing, lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling.
