The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Allegan that are seeking Process Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Monitor process performance using statistical analysis and data interpretation to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, R&D, quality) to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven process optimization.
- Experience with process mapping, P&IDs, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout or equipment design
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or SCADA platforms
