[Facility Name] is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehab team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents regain strength, mobility, and functional independence. If you are motivated by patient progress and thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional activities to patients
- Monitor patients' responses and progress during treatment sessions
- Communicate patient status and changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of treatments in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques to continue progress outside of therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license (required)
- CPR certification (must be current)
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and rehabilitation goals
