Description

The Baltimore Sun is seeking a Delivery Operations Coordinator to support our delivery operations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our delivery department, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of publications from our facility to our subscribers. You will work closely with our distribution staff, contractors, and other departments to coordinate all aspects of the delivery process.

Essential Functions
  • Logistics & Coordination: Assist with scheduling and dispatching, coordinating with contractors and our distribution team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of publications. You will be responsible for tracking delivery times and addressing any delays.
  • Administrative Support: Manage paperwork and process vendor payments, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Serve as a key point of contact for contractors and subscribers. You will be able to address customer inquiries, resolve delivery issues, and provide timely updates on delivery status.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with various teams, including distribution, vendors, contracts, and transportation, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any logistical challenges.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • 1-3 years of logistics, operations, and/or administrative coordination experience.
  • You can effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize your workload, and maintain accurate records with great attention to detail.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can interact professionally with subscribers, contractors, and internal team members.
  • You can quickly identify issues and find efficient solutions to keep deliveries on track.
  • You are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and resolving concerns professionally and empathetically.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel, and are a quick learner when it comes to new delivery management systems.

Salary Range: $42,000 - $50,500

Individual compensation may vary from the target range based on several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
