JOB SUMMARY:
  • Prefers local candidate that will work a hybrid schedule in Portland, OR.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, machine learning operations, and automation practices.
  • Must have AWS architecture along with AWS Services hands on knowledge.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5- 7 years of exp. expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, machine learning operations, and automation practices.
  • Must have AWS architecture along with AWS Services hands on knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, especially IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, and Sage Maker.
  • Nice to have - AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Snowflake certifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cloud Architecture:
  • Design and implement cloud architectures on AWS for various workloads, including web applications, microservices, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.
  • Leverage AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Amplify and others to build robust and scalable solutions.
  • Optimize cloud architectures for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment processes.
Data Architecture:
  • Design and implement data architectures on AWS using services like S3, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, and others.
  • Build automated data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes using AWS data integration services.
  • Implement data governance, data quality, master data management, and metadata management processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to understand data requirements.
IT Solution Architecture:
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
  • Design and document the architecture for new IT solutions, including system integrations, data flows, and AWS components.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate AWS services, third-party tools, and best practices to meet system needs.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to ensure adherence to standards and governance policies.
General:
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing to other IT and data professionals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of designed solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
