The new director will be responsible for overseeing Med/Surg, with an average daily census of 8 (currently running at capacity of 14-17), and the Emergency Department, with 5,000 annual visits. Staff oversight is approximately 50, which includes PRN. They have recently started an inpatient Hospitalists program.
The appropriate candidate will be a BSN with prior management experience. Patient satisfaction and quality-focus must be a key focus and strength.
