Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cloud Engineer tomanage service provider for Army and DoD IT systems. This position will be located in Radford,VA and will be a remote position.

Responsibilities

The cloud engineer designs, builds, maintains, and troubleshoots secure and scalable cloud based systems and infrastructure to meet business needs. Their responsibilities include migrating on-premises applications to the cloud, developing cloud-based applications, implementing infrastructure as code, and providing ongoing support and optimization for cloud environments. Key skills include expertise with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP, proficiency in networking and scripting, and knowledge of automation and security best practices

  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.

  • Experience automating routine administrative tasks desired.

  • Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol.

  • Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.

Qualifications

High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: Secret

  • CompTIA Security+.

  • Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience.

  • Security+ (Or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification (i.e. MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible,Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git.

  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline experience such as Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS CodeDeploy.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $125,000.00 - USD $195,000.00 /Yr.
