Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (consistent schedule
Remote Flexibility: None - this is an on-site position
Position: Patient Service Specialist (PSS) - 6 months of medical clerical experience required
About the Role
MaineHealth Cardiology Lewiston is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment. You'll play a vital part in coordinating patient care by managing scheduling, registration, and administrative tasks that keep our cardiology practice running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
- Manage patient scheduling, check-in, and registration processes
- Handle phone calls, messages, and appointment coordination
- Support providers and clinical staff with administrative needs
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide clear communication and assistance to patients regarding appointments and services
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- License/Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.

- Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
