The Restaurant Operations Assistant Manager (AM) serves as a key leader in driving the restaurant's success, focusing on profitability, exceptional guest service, team development, and seamless operations management. Working closely with the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), the AM plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and achieving performance objectives. In this role, you will manage a team of Hourly Shift Coordinators and Team Members (20-45 employees) directly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Profitability:
  • Manage inventory costs effectively and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory assessments.
  • Place and oversee inventory truck orders.
  • Keep an updated list of all restaurant assets and ensure they are well maintained.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance of the facility and equipment, liaising with vendors as necessary.
  • Adhere to cash control and security procedures, including safe counting and managing cash drawers.
  • Guest Experience:
  • Inspire and lead your team to deliver fast, friendly service in a clean environment, exceeding guest expectations.
  • Team Development:
  • Provide continuous coaching and feedback to Shift Coordinators and Team Members, enhancing their skills for improved performance.
  • Operations Management:
  • Guide the restaurant team in efficient preparation and sale of products, ensuring prompt service within established guidelines.
  • Uphold operational and brand standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Step in to handle Hourly Shift Coordinator duties when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a quick service restaurant, with a preference for management experience.
  • Basic understanding of P&L management to impact profitability.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Strong understanding of guest service principles.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as necessary to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
