Every year we conduct more than 15,000 outpatient visits and care for hundreds of inpatients. We are a leader in diagnosing and managing common concerns like cough (https://www.childrenshospital.org/conditions/cough) , asthma (https://www.childrenshospital.org/conditions/asthma) , and sleep disorders (https://www.childrenshospital.org/treatments/sleep-studies) to more complex issues including bronchopulmonary dysplasia (https://www.childrenshospital.org/conditions/bronchopulmonary-dysplasia) , interstitial lung disease (https://www.childrenshospital.org/conditions/interstitial-lung-disease) , and lung transplantation (https://www.childrenshospital.org/treatments/lung-transplant) . In addition, we specialize in caring for children and adults with cystic fibrosis (https://www.childrenshospital.org/conditions/cystic-fibrosis) .

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).

  • Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.

  • Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.

  • Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.

  • Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.

  • Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.

  • Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.

  • Working a schedule of 40 hours per week, 830a- 5p, Monday through Friday.

Minimal Qualifications

Education

  • HS Diploma or GED.

Experience

  • 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related experience.

  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

Office/Site Location:BostonRegular, Temporary, Per Diem:Regular Remote Eligibility :Onsite Only Pay Range:$17.65-$24.27 Hourly
