Job Title: Cloud Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. This role is critical in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure scalability, security, and cost efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage cloud environments on Azure and AWS.
    • Provision and maintain virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases.
    • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and secure architecture.
  • Cost Optimization:
    • Monitor and optimize cloud costs using best practices and tools.
    • Identify unused resources and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Automation & Orchestration:
    • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates or similar tools.
    • Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement IAM, encryption, and network security best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
    • Use tools like Azure Monitor and AWS CloudWatch to track performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues promptly.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years managing Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud cost optimization and security practices.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Windows Server administration.
    • Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
    • Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    • Azure Administrator
    • Cloud Practitioner
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Most be authorized to work in the US
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Dallas, TX).
Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
