Job Description: We are searching for a skilled Mechanic who specializes in working with a wide range of equipment, including diesel engines, mowers, trucks, and 2-stroke lawn equipment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our equipment, enabling us to deliver top-notch landscaping services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various diesel engines used in trucks, machinery, and equipment.
- Maintain and service a variety of mowers, ensuring their optimal cutting performance, safety features, and longevity.
- Repair and troubleshoot 2-stroke lawn equipment, including trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws, addressing fuel system issues, ignition problems, and more.
- Conduct inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues, providing accurate diagnoses and recommended solutions.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and your expertise to efficiently address and resolve equipment-related problems.
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance tasks, prioritize repairs, and minimize downtime.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate equipment availability and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean workshop area, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continuously improve your skills and enhance our equipment maintenance processes.
- Uphold safety protocols and practices, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or relevant training is advantageous.
- years of experience as a mechanic, specializing in diesel engines, mowers, trucks, and 2-stroke lawn equipment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, landscape equipment, trucks, and related systems.
- Strong understanding of 2-stroke engine mechanics and associated components.
- Ability to effectively use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Physical agility and strength for manual tasks and lifting heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
