Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our dynamic outpatient imaging team. In this role, you will perform essential diagnostic radiographic procedures with exceptional precision and a strong focus on patient comfort. Your contributions are vital to producing high-quality images that assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring it is properly calibrated and functioning.
- Review images for quality assurance and adhere to storage protocols.
- Follow established radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines.
- Accurately document patient information and complete required reports.
- Collaborate with other radiology and healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and imaging techniques.
Qualifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography required.
- Current state licensure as required by law.
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited program.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an X-ray Technologist, preferably in an outpatient or clinical setting.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, anatomy, and patient positioning.
- Proficiency with imaging software and radiologic equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Knowledge of additional imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI) is a plus.
