Your role:

As a Supply Chain Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering office supplies along your assigned route. Occasionally, you may also assist with loading your truck as needed.

Safety is our number one priority, and we depend on you to uphold safe driving practices and promote a strong safety culture.

In this role, you will:

  • Organize and load products for delivery using the route manifest to ensure the most efficient delivery schedule.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by problem-solving, accepting product returns, and making customers feel valued.
  • Be the face of our brand, representing Staples on the road

What you will bring:

  • A commitment to safety as a courteous driver who can navigate through various road conditions.
  • Strong decision-making abilities that contribute to safe driving, parking, and customer interactions.
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and customers to build strong relationships and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency with technology, including GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining vehicle cleanliness and conducting pre-trip inspections, ensuring any maintenance concerns are reported.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a record that demonstrates safe driving practices.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test (No THC) as legally permitted.
  • Ability to obtain a 6-month DOT medical card for the role.
  • Basic English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Full-Time associates should be prepared to work overtime hours as business needs arise.
  • Able to lift up to 70lbs and push or pull items up to 400lbs using material handling equipment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and wear safety composite shoes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience driving a truck 16ft or longer, or comparable driving experience.
  • Prior experience with high-volume package delivery.
