Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) on behalf of our client, a global company primarily focused on the manufacturing and distribution of luxury fragrance and fashion lines to department and retail stores. This contract role is based in New York, NY and will support the People & Organization (P&O) Fashion Team. The HRBP will act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing expertise in organizational design, talent strategy, employee relations, and overall people operations to support the company's evolving workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR and organizational development strategies for designated departments within the Fashion division.
- Provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Align people strategy with business goals, partnering closely with fashion leadership and global P&O stakeholders.
- Resolve complex employee relations matters while ensuring legal compliance and internal consistency.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Identify training and development needs and support leadership in building organizational capability.
- Lead or support organizational effectiveness and change management initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering data-informed HR insights.
- Partner with cross-functional corporate teams on strategic business and talent initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- At least 8 years of HR experience, including strategic HRBP responsibilities.
- Experience supporting corporate or global fashion, luxury retail, or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Proven track record in managing employee relations and organizational development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and compliance standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR regulations.
- Understanding of organizational design principles, talent development, and diversity & inclusion best practices.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Resilient, adaptable, and capable of navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passionate about fostering inclusive and engaging employee experiences.
