What You'll Be Doing
- Organize and manage daily workload to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- Process patient specimens with precise documentation to ensure clinicians receive correct results.
- Perform laboratory testing using both automated and non-automated equipment.
- Conduct and document quality control measures, evaluating results for accuracy and compliance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and escalate concerns as needed.
- Keep current with advancements in laboratory science and reflect best practices in all testing activities.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related Allied Health discipline required.
- Certification eligible upon hire (ASCP or equivalent).
- Certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
- One year of clinical laboratory experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous tests with accuracy.
- Familiarity with oncology-related laboratory workflows is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing workloads and perform effectively under pressure.
