Alerion Healthcare is recruiting an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON), for a full-time position. in a Skilled Nursing Center.
As an Director of Nursing, you will work in Buffalo, NY. As a growing healthcare facility, they provide a secure environment and opportunities for advancement, along with a supportive atmosphere. The annual salary is ranges from $120,000 to $150,000, compensation depending on expertise, experience and credentials.
The ideal candidate will hold a current NYS RN license , 5 years of experience in a long-term care facility, and have 2 years of solid supervisory and leadership experience. Additionally, 2 years of prior Director of Nursing (DON) experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising all nursing staff in the facility
- Development and implementation of nursing policy and procedure
- Overseeing the hiring and continued employment of nursing staff
- Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff's skills remain current
- Overseeing nursing employee conduct
- Being knowledgeable of incidents at the facility
- Assessing the health needs of each resident
