KKR 2026 MBA Internship Program - Infrastructure

KKR is seeking current 1st-year MBA students (graduation date: Spring 2027) for our 2026 MBA Internship Program and to be an active part of a team-oriented environment. The internship is 10-weeks in length and will take place in our New York office. Following the conclusion of the internship, 2027 full-time offers may be extended to exceptional performers.
Infrastructure
KKR's Infrastructure Private Equity group is a dedicated investment strategy, focused on control investments and corporate partnership deals with exceptional downside protection across a range of sectors. The infrastructure group at KKR has grown rapidly amid investor interest in the space, scaling 5x+ in the last 5 years, from $17 billion AUM in 2020 to $95 billion today. KKR is expanding the team to support expected future growth.
The team invests behind businesses across a range of sectors with long-term secular growth trends and strong competitive moats, generating downside risk protection from established real asset and network footprints. Recent investment activity has concentrated in areas like energy transition (renewables development, operating power, climate growth), digital infrastructure (fiber-to-the-home, hyperscale data centers), transportation and logistics (aviation/airport services, aircraft leasing), and industrial infrastructure (contract manufacturing in pharma, beverages). The team invests from a number of equity funds across the risk-return spectrum, including a $17 billion Americas/Europe flagship fund (increased vs. $7 billion prior vintage), a $13 billion core infrastructure fund, a $7 billion Asia fund, a $3 billion climate growth fund, and $10 billion of private wealth capital. Investments range from control buyouts in operating businesses, to corporate partnership deals, to growth-oriented financings.
Position Description and Responsibilities
- Identifying attractive investment themes and opportunities
- Gathering and synthesizing industry and market data
- Extensive analysis on potential investments, including in-depth financial modeling
- Managing the due diligence process, including overseeing commercial, accounting, tax, and legal diligence advisors
- Assisting with the development of and monitoring operational initiatives within portfolio companies
- Monitoring and reporting on portfolio company performance
- Drafting and presenting oral and written materials to management and investors
- Building relationships within the firm and with management teams, as well as with external advisors and industry experts
Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of investment banking experience plus 1-3 years of corporate or infrastructure private equity experience. Infrastructure specific experience is not required; the team's activity fundamentally centers on private equity investing methods in infrastructure operating businesses.

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
Base Salary Range
$170,000-$175,000 USD
